what is required if i want to have a career in computer technology/engineering?

i am 16 nd a junior in hs, im into computers and was wondering what i need or have to require to be a computer engineer/technology. also is there any difference in computer engineering or technology
also, what do people do in computer engineering/technology? is it kind of easy to get a job in that area?
